| "The strengthening of equal rights and opportunities for men and women in the areas of education, vocational training, work and family. This will be achieved through a series of Information Days entitled "Awareness Days". Photography exhibitions and a presentation of the most prominent articles written about the sexual abuse and trafficking of women. The publication of special diaries about the exhibits that will circulate in the countries of participating parties. In-depth research in the field of professional interest of the participating parties for recognizing, recording, presenting and highlighting the problems resulting from gender discrimination. A meeting and presentation of data acquired through data bases, research and other means, related to stereotypes as expressed in daily life and more importantly on the thoughts of women about education, work, science, new technologies, legislative bodies, Institutions and the MEDIA. The recognition and award of enterprises and companies selected for their communication strategies not offending the female sex in any way and not using specific stereotypes for promoting their services-products. The publication of a special booklet containing information about the project’s plan of action. The production of television messages (spots) promoting gender equality. Press releases, particularly in the Daily Regional Press, for the promotion of the project and for raising awareness about the initiatives and actions taken, including relevant interviews and articles. Nationwide and local broadcasted radio interviews. çç Raising awareness and active participation of public opinion and social partners (NGOs). Dissolving all socio-economic conditions that allow for women’s degradation. Women’s active participation. Support and renewal of national and international cooperation - networks to act as groups of pressure for initiating political and legislative measures. Promotion of values and ideas, such as social solidarity and justice, freedom, Democracy. Depending on the concerted action and endeavor of the participating partners on the one hand, and raising public awareness on the other, the suggested scheme aims, above all, to strengthen respect for human life itself. In other words, it seeks to encourage the selected target groups and help them in realizing the gravity and multiple dimensions of issues like non-paid employment, sexual abuse and exploitation, unemployment, social security, etc. çç" | |
